In Fig. 14.6, the result of bypassing the 15 resistor with a capacitor will be to

• i increase the gain,
• ii decrease the feedback

2. i is true but ii is false
3. i is false but ii is true

The answer is :- 1 The by-pass capacitor provides a lower impedance path for alternating current. The gain will therefore be increased, but the feedback decreased.
