A transistor is required to repeatedly switch rapidly between its ON and OFF states. The most appropriate switching waveform will be

  1. direct current
  2. sinusoidal
  3. triangular
  4. rectangular

The answer is :- 4 Of the waveforms given, the rectangular is the most suited. Its magnitude will change instantaneously, giving rapid switching.
