A double superheterodyne receiver is

  1. a combined AM and FM receiver
  2. a combined SSB and FM receiver
  3. one using two separate intermediate frequencies
  4. one using two RF amplifiers to avoid image interference

The answer is :- 3 Double superheterodyne means double i.f.s, i.e. two different intermediate frequencies.
