You receive a signal report of ‘five nine nine’. Your signal will be

1. 50% readable, 99% signal strength
2. 50% readable, weak signal, high background noise
3. 100% readable, signal strength 99%
4. 100% readable, very strong signal, very pure tone

The answer is :- 4

A morse telegraphy report will consist of three numbers. The first (R1-R5) is readability. The second (S1-S9) is signal strength and the third (T1-T9) is tone quality. 5 9 9 is the maximum in each category and will indicate 100% readable, very strong signal, and a perfect pure tone.
