H.E. President Courtesy Call

H.E. President Myriam Spiteri Debono received a courtesy call from the Malta Amateur Radio League. During the meeting, the members of the organisation explained that the Malta Amateur Radio League serves as a platform to bring together radio communication enthusiasts, as well as fulfilling the social obligation of radio communication as an auxiliary means of communication with the Civil Protection Department. The Malta Amateur Radio League also organises projects and initiatives to encourage young people to take an interest in radio communication, a skill which could be beneficial in many occupations and careers in the scientific and technological fields and can be especially beneficial to society in case of a breakdown of modern means of communication.
